STIR was dreamed up by Katie Jenkins, founder of Grace Therapy Center, and her husband, Joel Jenkins, whose love for coffee and people sparked the idea of creating something local, meaningful, and inclusive. Together, they wanted to build more than just a café. They wanted a space where individuals with intellectual and developmental differences could thrive, connect, and be celebrated. That vision became STIR: a coffee shop with heart, purpose, and really good coffee.

Our tea is grown and hand-picked just down the road in Amite, Louisiana.. fresh, flavorful, and full of Southern soul. We brew it in-house daily, so every cup is as local as it gets. Sip slow while you support local.

We proudly source our crispy treats from Crispy King, a local bakery with a big mission. For over 20 years, founder Andy Davenport has been crafting delicious treats while building inclusive workplaces that create real job opportunities for people of all abilities. Every bite supports their mission to lower disability unemployment—one crispy treat at a time.
