STIR was dreamed up by Katie Jenkins, founder of Grace Therapy Center, and her husband, Joel Jenkins, whose love for coffee and people sparked the idea of creating something local, meaningful, and inclusive. Together, they wanted to build more than just a café. They wanted a space where individuals with intellectual and developmental differences could thrive, connect, and be celebrated. That vision became STIR: a coffee shop with heart, purpose, and really good coffee.

Our tea is grown and hand-picked just down the road in Amite, Louisiana — fresh, flavorful, and full of Southern soul. We brew it in-house daily, so every cup is as local as it gets. Sip slow, support local.

Yes we do, and they’re perfect for any and every occasion! You can grab a physical gift card in-store or send an e-gift card online to someone you love (or someone who really needs coffee). Birthdays, thank-yous, just-because days..STIR gift cards are always a hit!

We are dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for everyone. We are pleased to accommodate service dogs that assist individuals with disabilities, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). To ensure a clean and comfortable space for all our guests, we kindly ask that service dogs remain on the floor and not on the furniture. We do not permit other pets inside the coffee shop.
